B.E. Adaptor

In July 2006, we were approached to design a mechanism to adapt  a switch/encoder assembly onto  a B.E. Swing Pedal. The company who approached us had already spoken to  several engineering firms  in an
effort to resolve the problem.

One of these engineering companies had seen a sample of our work and suggested the client give us a call. They explained basically what was required, and left us to come up with a solution.

We had to overcome two design challenges, differences in cabin floor thicknesses and possible alignment problems when the units were fitted.

Within a few days we had our design worked out and once the parts were sourced we built five units which are now in full service.

The unit also has a dust proof cover.

The B.E. Adaptor is a suitable replacement for G.E. Switchgear. If the B.E. Box is mounted on a hinged up trap door, it then makes in cabin servicing possible with no cherry pickers required!
